I love to read and design so bringing those two things together is a favorite pastime with design books. The inspiration I get from these fuels my creative spirit and I often find a color, shape, or vignette that I want to incorporate into my house or just have fun checking out different design styles and architecture. These are fun to pick up months and years after the first read as different things generally catch my eye. I really want to create my own version of Resident Dogs with friends and family dogs – so fun! One of these might be a great last-minute present if you have someone on your list who likes interior design.
If design books are not your thing, I included a link to a book that I am getting called 1,000 Places to See Before You Die. I am missing travel and hope that this will help me live vicariously and also make some plans for the not so distant future.
I am also reading Ready Player Two and if you enjoyed Ready Player One, you will like this too – this is a great one for guys and teens who don’t normally read because of the gaming tie in. Get Ready Player One if you haven’t read that one yet! Finally, if none of these is your jam, get on Amazon and treat yourself to a book on something you love. You will likely have some extra downtime this holiday at home and books provide a great escape.
