They’re Back…Nate and Jeremiah Home Project

Ok, so Nate and Jeremiah have actually been back for a few weeks but I got sidetracked with college essay editing and dream home planning. Thinking about a move to Bend, OR in a few years and have been talking to Real Estate Agents, Architects, and virtual shopping for my dream house design. Probably a 75% chance that nothing will come of it but one can dream, right?

Anyway, back to the point here, Nate and Jeremiah have a new show on HGTV and it is must-see TV. I wrote about a show that they were on previously called Rock the Block where designers compete to design similar homes and it is so fun to see various HGTV personalities put their spin on similar challenges. Of course, I thought Nate and Jeremiah should win and you can check out my post HERE and HERE but I will not spoil the ending here in case you still have not watched that show, in which case, lucky you, as you have two Nate and Jeremiah shows that you can watch.

The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project is a show where the guys help families who have moved recently get a fresh start helping their clients let go of what they no longer need, repurpose some of the things they want to keep, and bring amazing style and functionality to their spaces.

As of today, two episodes have aired and the next one is scheduled to air tonight so feel free to get your bing on or at least set your TV to record. Episode 1 was about two sisters who inherited their childhood home and needed Nate and Jeremiah to help them update it for modern life but still keep the memories. The updates were focused on the family room and the kitchen. Although it was a small house, it was important for the sisters to keep the piano which was given to their mom on her 16th birthday, held lots of memories, and they were surprised to learn it was worth $100k!

Aren’t the black and white entry tiles so classic and timelines? You also can never go wrong with a console table with a mirror in an entry. They also changed the front door which is a great way to let some light in and completely change the look of a house both from the outside and inside. We have a dutch door at our house in CA and I am so in love with the functionality – the top half is nearly always open. This renovation was in NY where it gets COLD so the dutch door would not work but this more modern door let more light in and tied in the floors beautifully.

Nate and Jeremiah also added this bookcase which is styled perfectly. Nate is the one who loves to play with the small accessories and he really knows what is he doing with a mix of pictures, vessels, books, and some items that were sentimental such as the budda which was gift from the mom to her son-in-law.

Unfortunately, the HGTV site does not have many pictures so it is hard to show the before and after here – hope that will change. In the meantime, you can sign up for Jeremiah’s newsletter HERE which has a few pictures and sources for some of the items they use on the show.

Finally, this sneak peek of the kitchen really does not do justice to the beautiful and functional space that they created in a very small area. I am in love with the black counters and hood which may have found their way only my dream home Pinterest board.

Episode 2 has Nate and Jeremiah helping two new parents who were so excited to be first-time homeowners but then felt disappointed when the old-fashioned layout did not work for their young family. The husband is a firefighter and in tribute to him they used brick red tiles in the kitchen which I thought were going to be terrible but they worked so I was reminded never to count Nate and Jeremiah out. Be sure to check out The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project – I will definitely be watching tonight!
