If you want to update or personalize your home, lighting is a great place to start, and an oversize pendant light really makes a statement. Oversize pendants work well with many design styles. Although design generally favors repetition in 3s, when it comes to overside pendant lighting you generally want to go with 1 or 2 max. I like how the two lights here trick your eye into taking the table in as the 3rd item and really draw the dining space together even though it is part of an open concept.
