Well, they have done it again, Studio McGee keeps turning out the hits at Target. I just picked up the white bowl below for $35 which was only available for home delivery so I justified it by buying my husband and son some beef jerky. HA! Well, it arrived just hours after I hit the buy button, and WOW that kind of instant gratification for a $9.99 delivery fee is very dangerous.
In case you are not familiar with Studio McGee, they are a design firm based in Salt Lake City who previously lived in Orange County. They exited just before I arrived last year. They have a show on Netflix called Dream Home Makeover that you should definitely check out if you have not already binged Season 2 in 2 days and their website and Instagram is a source of constant inspiration. Their design style tends to be modern farmhouse but it is more modern than farmhouse which I like.
The team is led by Shea and Syd Mcgee – Shea is in charge of all things design and Syd is the business guy which makes them different from many other design companies where the husband is the muscle. The design firm was launched in 2014 and they have an online shop that curates many great pieces but tend to be more premium. Enter Target, this is where they take their style and make it available to the masses on a Target budget. While the furniture is certainly scaled down from a budget and a size perspective, that may be a good thing if you are furnishing a smaller space. Also, the design pieces are fantastic and priced so right.
