There are two must-haves for fall decorating: fall branches/wreaths and pumpkins. I shared some great faux branches in my earlier fall post HERE. There are a few pumpkins in that post, but if you need more examples on why you need pumpkins, check these out!
There are so many good pumpkins – you are not stuck with the horrible plastic ones from the grocery store. Of course, feel free to use those as trick or treat buckets (hope kids are going this year), but what your kids really want to use is the old tried and true pillowcase.
I still have not put my pumpkins out this year because we are dealing with a repair on a leak that has required the removal of half my laundry and dining cabinets. UGH, always something. But I have bought around five new pumpkins this year – the Target pumpkins are crazy good – and think I may get them out this weekend. Here are a few examples of fantastic Target pumpkin styling.
I love that most of the pumpkins below are more modern and there are some fun updated colors. You can put most of these out now and leave them out through Thanksgiving. Here are a few places that I scatter pumpkins around my house:
Fill a bowl, lantern, or cloche with small pumpkins
Mantel
Kitchen counter next to pumpkin scented candle
Bookshelves
Nightstand
Entry console
Kitchen & dining room table
Coffee table
Now you have justification for at least 8 pumpkins and I am sure that you can find many more places for them. Here are some of my very budget-friendly favorites. Hope you find some pumpkins to add some fun fall atmosphere to your home.
