With St. Patrick’s Day in the books, it is time for another non-tacky holiday décor posts – this time, Easter. You can check out Be Mine Valentines Decor and St. Patrick’s Day Luck of the Irish Decor if you want to see the whole journey. As you can probably tell, Odin is not a big fan of the bunny ears. There is a great side-eye outtake at the end of this post which is a fair response to this blog title, but the photo above is just his natural resting grumpy face!
As always, I have spent too much time sifting through décor such as the below to bring you a few things that do not cross the line into tacky territory. But first, let me show you what I mean by tacky and IF YOU ARE SKIMMING, THIS THE TACKY DEOCR YOU WANT TO AVOID.

Depending on the age of your kids, plastic Easter eggs are approved for egg hunts but in no circumstances for a egg wreath like the above. Remember to keep the budget in check because these items will only be out for a few weeks and you will need to store them for the rest of the year – Christmas and Halloween take up most of my holiday storage allotment. I really miss making cute Easter basket for the kids so may have to follow up with a post on baskets and filler which includes some candy but more focus on small fun toys.
In my case, I am sticking with my M.O. from St. Patrick’s Day and Valentines (hey, if it ain’t broke) as these touches add just enough change to make my home feel alive without crossing the line. So, here is what things are looking like at my home for Easter:
- Wool garland and cement rabbits on my entry console table. The cement looking rabbit is a JOANN’s find and then I added a couple more that I got at Marshall’s where you can always find some well-priced items, but you have to be wary of the tacky, see above.

- Gnomes. Speaking of tacky, I did end up adding a St. Patrick’s Day gnome to my wreath and was worried that I may have ventured into tacky territory, but I bought some Easter gnomes as well. I may be reaching, but I convinced myself the light-up ones on the left below were tacky (maybe they are just more fun?) while the ones on the right were cute – you can be the judge.

- Wooden beads (Etsy) around a glass vase (Cost Plus World Market) with faux florals (JOANN’s) and egg stems (Amazon).

- Easter colored ornaments in a large bowl – drawing from Valentine’s pink, St. Patrick’s green and some Christmas blue and white so upside is no purchase this time. If you need a bowl, you can find some great ones HERE.
- Holiday dish towels – always special as many of of my holiday towels are from my Mom who passed away a year ago suddenly from pancreatic cancer. This year’s towels happen to be a Marshall’s find and I think she would approve.
- Bunny and basket with eggs came from my prior year Easter bucket but I have lots of similar options below.

- Wreath. You may also know I love a good JOANN’s find. For Easter, I was planning to create a simple hoop DIY wreath but then I found one at JOANN’s that was nearly what I was planning to make and could not beat the cost so I just added a stuffed rabbit and a bunny ribbon and called it a day. I plan to make some simple changes and keep this up for Spring as well – a win for the budget and storage!

Your turn, here are some of my Easter décor sources and a few others that you may want to check-out. Next up 4th of July (not having much success with my limited search so far) unless I go crazy and decorate for Earth Day, Cinco de Mayo, or Father’s Day before that – I would put my money on Cinco de Mayo.
The side-eye is real and I promise that he was compensated for this photo with some cooked beef added to his beef stew dinner. 🙂
