Sometimes something sneaks up on me, and BOOM I am in love. Originally, I was planning to put a small console table or dresser and wall mirror in the foyer that will connect the main house to the new office that we are building. Because of property setback requirements, the foyer space had to shrink by 2 feet and I think that it will be too squishy now for the console so plan B is to substitute with a floor mirror to enlarge the space (around 5’x5’) and reflect the windows and view on the other side.

Foyer is small box to the right of the accordion door.
Odin modeling in front of the wall where the mirror will go.
Usually I have a clear view of what I want when I am looking for something; i.e. , round mirror, gold finish, 2×3’ or something similar but sometimes I stumble across something that catches me off guard. This can be good and bad because it generally happens when I am not searching by price and in this case, it is a $800+ floor mirror that I have fallen in love with.
When this happens it is usually a good idea to pin the item and then let it sit for a few weeks because sometime what I think is love was merely infatuation. I have been waiting for my dining table for over 6 months now and it is interesting how my tastes have changed and somewhat come full circle on the front runner for the dining chandelier.
I would like to have something in this space that makes a bit of a statement as it is the only thing that will be in the space.
Since we are in the framing stage, there is still a bit of time before I need to hit the buy button here. Below are some other mirrors including some wall mirrors that are more budget friendly – what do you think, is this true love or merely an infatuation? Which mirror do you like the best”? Do you have any floor mirrors in your house and if so, where?
