Your entry welcomes guests inside and is generally an area you walk past in your house frequently so make it count! While entries come in many styles, shapes and sizes, the goal is to create a welcoming space that says something personal about the people who live there. Plus, entries are generally small spaces so a great place to start on a limited budget or without getting overwhelmed.
Most entryways include a console table and/or a bench. These provide a great place for the eye to land when entering a home and a place for guests to take off their shoes. Draw inspiration from the style of your house (traditional, modern, farmhouse, craftsman) and then measure, measure and measure again. I have had to send a bench or two back because it was too big for the space and my current entry is quite large so I needed the larger version of the console to anchor the space. A quick way to match the style of your house is to use the style filter on Wayfair or shop a store that matches the design of your home; i.e. Pottery Barn for traditional, West Elm for mid-century or CB2 for modern.
